Yesterday San Bernardino lost one of her great and heroic fire Captains. Captain Craig Nece passed yesterday after suffering from a horrible off road vehicle accident in the Arizona desert. He will be severely missed. Not only was this man a career man in San Bernardino, but also I don't think you can find a single person that could say something bad about him. I'm sure is engine company could tell you a lot more about this man, and I know I'm not doing him any justice. He always greeted me with a smile and a good strong hand shake. He like to play around like any firefighter, sometimes more than others. The one thing that I wonder about when people die is always the same, did they know Jesus? I know this age has made a mockery of Jesus and what He did for us. But that doesn't dilute what will happen after you die. I feel sad that I did not know Captain Nece good enough to share with him what Jesus has done in my life, and I hope that I do get to see him again when this life passes from me.
On a lighter note there really hasn't been much going on in Redlands since they've handed down pay cuts and furloughs to city workers. Redlands has again moved into the news article background again. Even the city website and the Redlands Daily Facts has been kinda boring. The one good thing I found, yes there is still some good news out there, is that Redlands is going to be starting to have a Farmer's Market on saturday mornings. The starting date hasn't been set yet and the site is kinda wierd, hopefully they change that, but I can't wait to see what is in store. Anyway I will keep digging through my stacks of newspapers and websites to bring up some new and fresh stuff cuz I'm tired of getting the minute by minute of what the Obama administration is doing, and I'm sure you are too. I may be posting again later, until then have a great day.
